Macon Telegraph Photographer Attacked

After a brief news conference held by State Senator Robert Brown on Thursday, Macon Telegraph photographer Woody Marshall was attacked.

During an attempt to snap a closer shot of Brown exiting Macon City Hall, a man who some believe is Brown’s aide shoved Marshall against the wall and proceeded to push him to the ground.

“This guy just came at me and when I said ‘Don’t touch my camera,’ he just kept pushing me,” said Marshall.

The man is Malik El Brown. According to Macon Police, Senator Brown and Malik El Brown are cooperating to provide information in the investigation.

Marshall has been with the Telegraph for more than a decade and says nothing like this has happened to him before. He thought his shoulder may have been injured during the assault.
