Macon teen shot while “play fighting” in the street

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 17-year-old female is recovering after being shot Monday.

Trinity Whitehead told Bibb County deputies she and a male friend were “play fighting” on Mason Street, when the male presented a gun.

The gun then discharged, striking her in the shoulder.

Her injuries are non-life threatening.

The Sheriff’s Office says Whitehead not cooperating with investigators on the identity of her friend.

The investigation is ongoing.
