Macon teacher shares her knowledge about food safety

Shiona Drummer is one of 32 teachers who participated in a week long food safety training class in Washington D.C. this summer.

The science teacher at Rutland Middle School learned the proper way to cook, clean, and store food to reduce the spread of diseases. She explained Salmonella and Ecoli are the most common.

Drummer will share her lessons with other Bibb County teachers on Saturday at Rutland Middle School.
