Macon shooting victim dies in hospital

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 22-year-old man died in Macon Sunday morning after he shot himself Saturday.

It happened at the Shadowood West Apartment Complex on West Highland Drive Saturday morning.

Wesley Alectus Jr. was holding a gun and it went off hitting him in the head, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The two people who live in the apartment told deputies Alectus was visiting from South Carolina.
