Macon Rescue Mission Feeds Hundreds on Thanksgiving

Over at the Macon Rescue Mission, workers were busy in the kitchen preparing hot meals for anyone in need today.

The tables were full of all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings. Each year the Rescue Mission feeds about three hundred people in house for lunch.
Left over meals are delivered to those in need, who can’t make it out to the open house.

“There’s two words on the side of our building that say ‘Jesus Cares’ and that’s really what it’s all about,” says Executive Director, Jeff Nicklas.

More than 50 volunteers helped out in today’s luncheon. They spent three days preparing for the Thanksgiving celebration.
