Rhythm & Rally, MATA launch beginner-friendly Red Ball tennis series in Macon

Rhythm & Rally and the Macon Area Tennis Association are offering beginner-friendly Red Ball tennis classes starting in May for all ages and skill levels.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Rhythm & Rally is expanding into the sport of tennis with a new program called the “New Red Ball Series,” just in time for National Tennis Month this May.

Rhythm & Rally is partnering with the Macon Area Tennis Association (MATA) to launch the series.

Mary Cay Morgan, Executive Director of MATA, says there are different rules for this version of the game. For example, players will use shorter rackets and a slower-bouncing tennis ball.

She says the sport is ideal for all age groups and skill levels.

The Red Ball Series class will be held every Thursday throughout the summer from 6 to 8 p.m.

Beginning this Thursday, they are hosting a free demo intro class for anyone interested.
