Macon ranks top 10 town to visit in America according to CNN

Macon had high scores in musical heritage, cultural attractions, and architecture.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon ranked as one of the top ten best towns to visit in America in 2024 according to CNN.

Macon had high scores in musical heritage, cultural attractions, and architecture. Macon ranked number 7 on the list of 10.

“It was really cool to see how they were able to take one of the videos that Visit Macon featuring, Charles Davison, Sam Stevenson and The Creek and that’s what compelled them to come here,” said Aaron Buzza, the Senior Vice President and COO of Visit Macon.

Emily Hopkins, Vice President of External Affairs and Main Street Manager at NewTown Macon said, “This recognition by CNN to that, that something really magical is happening in Macon right now.  People are excited about it.  People want to come and explore it.”
