Macon Purrs N Paws Raises Thousands of Dollars To Help Rescue Animals

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It is a sad story but it has a happy ending. Two dogs were found severely injured at a Macon home last week. The two pups are getting the help they need thanks to the generous support from hundreds of people around the world.

There is only one word for it: unbelievable.

“We have been blown away by the response,” Anne Brennaman, founder of Macon Purrs N Paws, said.

Brennaman tells 41 NBC she didn’t expect the overwhelming support to help these two dogs, Biscuit and Pluto. Macon Purrs N Paws rescued the dogs last week. When they found them, Biscuit had been hit by a car and Pluto had an eye infection.

“I want to stress to everybody that these dogs were not abused,” Brennaman said. “These people were doing the best that they could.”
