Macon Police Seeking Armed Robbers

Dol. Gen. Photo 2MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find two masked gunmen wanted for robbing the Dollar General on Shurling Drive last Wednesday.

According to a news release, the men went into the store with a black handgun. They ordered the clerk to the ground. One of the suspects demanded money and hit him in the back of the head before running away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Suspect one was wearing a berry and gray colored jacket, black pants, gray athletic shoes, a black hood over his face, and white or light gloves. Suspect two was wearing a bright green jacket, black pants, dark shoes, a black hood over his face, and gray or dark gloves.

Major Charles Stone released the following statement,

Our detectives work diligently to keep the public safe, but need the citizens’ help. The jackets worn by the suspects are distinctive. People recognize the clothing and know who they are. We would appreciate help in identifying them and bringing them to justice. All information is confidential.
