Macon Police Search for Kroger Thief

Kroger Suspect Photo July 22 2013 MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police are working to identify a man who posed as a customer to rob a grocery store.
The incident happened Monday around 2 a.m., at the Kroger store located at 660 North Avenue.

The suspect appeared as though he was about to purchase items in a check out lane.
He handed the clerk a note stating he had “a gun and this was a robbery,” according to Macon Police Public Information Officer, Jami Gaudet.
Witnesses told police they saw the thief run away.

He is described as a husky male wearing a gray button down shirt, orange sweat pants, a blue baseball cap and athletic shoes.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Macon Police at 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
