Macon Police Investigating Woman’s ‘Suspicious Death’

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found in her home early Saturday morning.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says police found 58-year-old Gail Spencer dead in her home at 3475 Stinsonville Road around 3:30 am Saturday. Jones says the police have not ruled the death as a homicide but are saying it is a “suspicious death.”

Jones says Spencer’s car was missing at the time they found her body. It is a 2004 Acura Integra TS with the Georgia license plate PDF3869.

Jones says Major Charles Stone has asked him not to give any more information.

Sergeant Melanie Hofmann with Macon Police says there will be a news conference on Wednesday at 10 am and 41 NBC will be there.
