Macon Police Find Man Beaten In Downtown, Suspect Has Been Arrested

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police say they have arrested the man responsible for beating up another man in downtown Macon on Poplar Street and Second Street Lane.

Police were able to capture the suspect Lonnie Layson, after he threw the victim to the ground, kicked him in the head and knocked him unconscious.

Layson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
