Macon Offers Safety Suggestions for Frying Turkey

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — If you’re planning on frying a turkey this Thanksgiving, the city of Macon’s got a list of safety suggestions to follow so you don’t burn your bird, or yourself.

The list includes the following suggestions:

• Keep your fryers outdoors, a good distance from any buildings or flammable materials
• Put fryers on a flat surface, and never leave them unattended.
• Keep kids and pets far away from the fryer
