Macon Native Dexter Williams II Enters the Transfer Portal

The Georgia Southern Quarterback has entered the Transfer Portal

STATESBORO, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Southern Senior Quarterback and Macon native Dexter Williams II has entered the transfer portal. The former Mount De Sales QB entered the season in a three-way battle for the starting quarterback position after transferring from Indiana University. JC French was named the starter back on August 20 and has started every game.

Williams competed in four games this season for the Eagles. Most notably, he led a 21-point comeback against Marshall on October 12 with 6:31 left in the game. His stats at Georgia Southern are 19 for 30 for 248 passing yards with three touchdowns through the air. Then on the ground, 13 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown.
