Macon NAACP Urges Mayor Reichert to Hire C Jack Ellis

Wednesday afternoon the Macon Branch of the NAACP offered a congratulations to Mayor Robert Reichert for his victory in the run-off election. The organization is urging Reichert to hire C Jack Ellis as the Chief Administrative Officer.

The President of Macon’s NAACP, David Booker, says the move would bring unity to the city.

“I think that moving forward with the 9,000 people here in Macon that voted for C Jack Ellis if something significant is not done these people will feel like they have again been disenfranchised,” says Booker.
