Macon man steals chicken from restaurant, cooks on ‘makeshift’ grill
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Macon man moments after he burglarized a local restaurant.
Deputies identified the man as 54-year-old Willie Porter III. Authorities say Porter burglarized Mrs. Winners Chicken and Biscuits on Pio Nono Ave around 4 a.m. on Monday.
Deputies found Porter shortly after the burglary alarm notified the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies took Porter into custody outside of a vacant home on Harris Street.
Authorities say they used the store’s video surveillance system to identify Porter.
The surveillance shows Porter entering the store by smashing the front glass door with a brick. Porter then entered the restaurant freezer and took a large box of chicken.
Deputies say the chicken was recovered on a makeshift grill being cooked by Porter.

Deputies took Porter to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged him with Burglary. Authorities have set no bond for him.
