Macon Mental Health Matters hosting first ‘Pop-Up Gym’ of 2024 on Saturday
Macon Mental Health Matters, a local organization dedicated to promoting mental health in the community, will hold its first pop-up gym of the year this weekend.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Mental Health Matters, a local organization dedicated to promoting mental health in the community, will hold its first pop-up gym of the year this weekend.
The event is aimed at encouraging people to focus on their mental health in the new year.
According to a recent health survey, 36% of people want to focus on their mental health, while 48% of people surveyed are focusing on improving fitness. Macon Mental Health Matters believes people have more control over their mental health than they’ve been led to believe and that mental health should be a priority for everyone.
The pop-up gym, happening Saturday, will offer a non-stop program for mental health, including a licensed therapist, yoga, meditation and other tools to help people start the new year off on the right track.
The event, which is free and open to the public will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s happening at the Rosa Jackson Center, located at 1211 Maynard Street.
