Macon Mayhem dishes more than 200 meals to less fortunate
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Several players with the Macon Mayhem traded in their jerseys for aprons this morning to help feed some of the less fortunate.
Players dished more than 200 meals at Macon Outreach.
Connor Toomey, a forward with the Mayhem, says it’s good to give back to the community.
“It kind of brings awareness that there’s a hockey team and also showing support, meeting new people. Some of these people might never have been to a hockey game, so they might come out. It’s good to be here. It’s good to help,” Toomey said.
The Macon Mayhem play their next game Saturday against the Fayetteville Fireantz at 7:30 p.m. at the Macon Coliseum.
