Macon Man Sentenced to 20 Years For Shooting Woman
MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – A repeat felon is sentenced to another 20 years behind bars for shooting a woman in 2016.
After deliberating for less than two hours, jurors found 48-year-old Julius Laverneius Muff guilty of aggravated assault. Due to his criminal history, he won’t be eligible for parole.
On October 15th, 2016 Muff and another man gave the shooting victim and her friend a ride to a party. Along the way, the women decided they did not want to go and wanted to return to Macon’s Hatcher Place.
When the 41-year-old shooting victim had trouble finding her cell phone, Muff got out of the car and threw the woman to the ground. As she was walked away from the car, she heard a gunshot and realized she had been shot in the leg.
The woman testified she saw Muff pointing a gun at her and that he then shot her twice more.
