Macon man robbed, suspects caught quickly
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men robbed another man sitting in his van at a Macon park.
Ernest Godwin sat in the passenger seat of his van Sunday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. at the Ocmulgee River Park.
One of the suspects hit Godwin and made him get out of the van.
They took a pack of cigarettes and some cash.
Godwin told the men he was calling 911, and they ran away.
No one was injured.
Deputies got to the scene and put out a radio call with the suspects’ descriptions.
Deputies found the two men and arrested them quickly afterward.
28-year-old Travis Lee Clark and 27-year-old Tondi Lind Norsworth Junior are in jail for robbery.
