Macon man pleads guilty, sentenced for sexually abusing teen over two years

Further investigation showed the abuse began when the victim was about 14 and continued for roughly two years.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for child molestation, according to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office.

34-year-old Christopher J. Dismukes pleaded guilty June 27, 2025, to one count of child molestation.

He was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 15 to be served in the Georgia Department of Corrections. Upon release, Dismukes must register as a sex offender for life and comply with probation conditions.

According to a news release, the abuse came to light during an unrelated investigation when Detective Brousard of the Warner Robins Police Department reviewed the victim’s phone. Investigators found photos, videos and text messages documenting a sexual relationship between Dismukes and a 16-year-old boy.

Further investigation showed the abuse began when the victim was about 14 and continued for roughly two years.

Authorities said the abuse was worsened by Dismukes’ methamphetamine addiction. He and the victim used methamphetamine together, often supplied by Dismukes, before the abuse occurred. Most of the abuse happened in Bibb County, with some occurring in Houston County.

District Attorney Eric Edwards released the following statement:

“This defendant didn’t just abuse a child—he fueled that abuse with methamphetamine and tried to hide it behind a twisted relationship. That is exploitation at its worst. Thanks to the sharp eye of Detective Brousard and the determined work of ADA Justin Duane, we were able to hold Christopher Dismukes accountable for every ounce of damage he inflicted. He will now spend the better part of two decades exactly where he belongs: in prison, and off our streets.”

Assistant District Attorney Justin Duane released the following statement:

“This case is yet another example of sexual abuse happening right under people’s noses without anyone realizing it. It’s a reminder that parents need to keep a close eye on their kids. I’m glad Detective Brousard discovered the abuse, otherwise we would not have been able to get this predator off the streets and the teen would have not gotten the help he needed.”
