“Macon Man” Makes First Appearance at Tourism Conference

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Macon’s official superhero!

Macon Man made his first appearance at the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Tourism Conference.

His mission?

Promote tourism and interest in the city known as “The Song and Soul of the South.”

“As Macon Man I believe we’ve got great arts and culture, and I believe myself to be the protector of those things,” the superhero says. “I believe we have a terrific tourist scene and I want to protect that, with all my heart.”

“I envision him being on billboards encouraging people driving down the interstate to pull off–using him in magazine ads and any other kind of ad material or marketing material for the city,” says Macon Man creator, Terrell Sandefur.

Macon is the only city in Georgia that can say they have a real life superhero representing them.
