Macon Man is the “King of the Castle”; Meets HGTV Host
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One lucky Macon man is the “king of the castle” and he’s got $65,000 to prove it.
Steve Bell is the national winner of the “Dove Men plus Care Hair” contest.
He and his family, met up with HGTV host Jonathan Scott to talk about home improvements at Bell’s home.
The money from the contest will go towards a new roof and also some improvements inside Bell’s home as well.
“This is a great burden off of my shoulders, you know I’m able to take care of the house, take care of my family,” Bell said.
“This is going to be a project that they take on with some of the other work that they’re planning to do on the inside. So I gave them some design tips too. I know the city is doing a bunch of work on a round about here out front,” Scott said.
“Hopefully all of it is complete, and by the end of 2013, they’ll have this gorgeous house that everybody talks about when they walk by,” he said.
Steve Bell is the owner of Ocmulgee Traders in Macon.
He says the money from the contest will help him at home, because he’s getting to open up a store in the heart of downtown.
