Macon man fatally shot in Hinesville

HINESVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Liberty County Sheriff’s deputies found a Macon man dead in the parking lot of Day’s Inn in Flemington.

According to the sheriff’s office, 25-year-old Markese D. Mahone of Macon died from a gunshot to the upper body, specifically the left shoulder.

Authorities haven’t made any arrests, but they have two people of interest who are being questioned.
