Macon man dies in fatal Monroe County crash

The fatal crash happened at approximately 11:58 p.m. April 8 at the Interstate 75 southbound entrance ramp off Johnstonville Road.

Deputies responded to the scene and saw an overturned Honda Accord.

The sheriff’s office says the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and overturned. The driver was ejected during the crash.

The driver has been identified as 25-year-old Jarhaad Bass of Macon. Bass was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
