Macon Man Dead after Shooting on Rocky Creek Rd.

Macon Police are investigating a homicide tonight.

According to Bibb County coroner Leon Jones, 39-year-old Michael Dawayne Henderson was shot and killed tonight at 1291 Rocky Creek
Jones says Henderson was shot outside his house.

“Another black male killed in the city of Macon,” said Jones. “Macon police is canvassing the whole area–crime lab is here, they’re processing the scene. There’s so much blood involved–I know it was a high-powered rifle. Black on black crime–it is what it is.”

No arrests have been made yet. Jones says the passenger window on Henderson’s car was shattered, but there is no sign of forced entry into the house.
