Man arrested for aggravated battery, victim still in critical condition

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday in connection with an aggravated battery earlier this week.
Deputies say the incident happened at Corner Grocery Store, located at 2057 Walnut Street, on April 14.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a call came into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center On April 16 reporting an assault of a 57-year-old man, who is currently at Atrium Health Navicent in critical condition.
Bibb County investigators, after reviewing the incident, identified 43-year-old Antoine Joseph McCall of Macon as the suspect.
He was taken into custody Thursday morning near the intersection of Walnut Street and Ward Street.
McCall was also wanted in Bibb County for Superior Court probation violation. He does not have a bond.
According to medical staff, the victim is still listed in critical condition. His identity has not be released.
