Macon Man arrested after shooting gun, running away from deputies
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man is in jail after he shot a gun from a car and ran away from deputies.
35-year-old Artez Maloy is charged with reckless conduct, reckless driving, felony fleeing and eluding of peace officer. He also had outstanding warrants in Bibb County for theft by conversion and 1st degree child cruelty. Maloy also had an outstanding warrant in Monroe County for an unrelated incident.
Bibb deputies say Maloy was shooting a gun on Evergreen Drive near Hightower Road on Saturday. He drove away once he saw the deputies. Deputies chased after him, but he got out of the car and started running away. He later turned himself into the sheriff’s office.
His bond is set at $17,400.
