Macon man arrested after deputies find dead and living chickens at home

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 59-year-old Macon man was arrested after Bibb County sheriff’s deputies found more than 30 chickens dead and alive in and around his home. 

George McGuire is charged 35 counts of animal cruelty. 

Deputy Clay Williams says around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Macon-Bibb County Animal Control was called to McGuire’s home inside the Evergreen Trailer Park. 

The Bibb County Jail website says McGuire is in jail with a $4160 bond.
