Macon Gateway Initiative Gives $50,000 Prize Package to New Business
Downtown Macon will soon be home to a new business, thanks to a prize package from the Macon Gateway Initiative.
The competition was an effort to attract new business to downtown. After nearly 100 entries, TailSpin will now be the newest business to call Macon its home.
TailSpin is a company based out of Savannah, run by four men. It offers high-end food and supplies for your dogs and cats.
Jusak Yang Bernard is the owner of TailsSpin. He says, he can’t wait to get his business up and running in downtown.
“It’s about building community, and it’s about bringing communities together. I think that’s what TailsSpin is about.”
Part of the prizes include one year of free rent, Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce membership, and business startup legal services.
TailsSpin does not yet have a location picked out in downtown. The group expects to be up and running between May and June of this year.
