Macon Co. man wanted for shooting at Cordele police officer
CORDELE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Law enforcement across Middle Georgia is looking for a man who shot at a Cordele police officer early Monday morning.
According to a news release from the Cordele Police Department, Officer Brian Lewis pulled over 26-year-old Quotavious Cochran for a traffic stop on 7th Street. Police say Cochran immediately got out of his car and without provocation, began shooting at Lewis. Lewis did not return fire and wasn’t hurt.
The news release says Cochran lives in Macon County and goes by the name “Tip.” He’s wanted for aggravated assault and an outstanding parole warrant.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is helping the Cordele Police Department investigate.
