Macon City Council Pays 39K in Overtime

Workers at Macon’s Municipal Court have been working overtime and a lot of it.

Tuesday night Macon City Council approved $39-thousand of overtime pay for two assistants in the municipal court. Two years ago, the department lost two positions because of overall cuts to the city’s budget and now the court is overwhelmed by the workload and in need of more employees.
