Macon City Council Encouraging Pension Board To Take Control of Finances

Macon City Council is encouraging the fire and police pension board to take finances into their own hands.

Tonight, Councilman Ed Defore brought a resolution to the Employee Development and Compensation Committee meeting. It’s a request for the pension board in charge of fire and police to determine whether or not, it would be possible to increase the retirees monthly benefits by $100 dollars a month.
This decision would be made by an expert analyst appointed by the pension board.
