Macon City Council Districts Could Change Soon

If you live in Macon, your local voting district could soon change.

TonightMaconCity Council’s Redistricting Committee started a plan to re-zone the city, using 2010 census numbers.

 Opinions varied across the table, but the end result provided a new proposed district map.

“Make sure that the wards are as evenly split population wise, but that we clean up some of these boundaries so that they follow normal contiguous bright line sort of major thoroughfares,” said Lauren Benedict of Macon City Council.
