Macon Charter Academy releases staff members to cut costs

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Charter Academy is cutting some of its costs.

A news release from the school board says the school let 11 staff members go this month to save about $64,000. The board is going to continue leasing the building instead of buying it saving about $120,000 in property taxes a year. The school has also started a free after-school care program.
