Black Business and Community Expo draws more than 1,000 to Macon Mall
The event featured live entertainment, local leaders and a new Children’s Zone focused on STEM and entrepreneurship.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Mall buzzed with energy over the weekend for the 3rd Annual Black Business and Community Expo, drawing more than 1,000 attendees ready to explore Black business and culture.
The event showcased a variety of Black-owned businesses that lined the mall’s hallways, while local talent filled the mall with music and dancing.
Organized by the Central Georgia Coalition of Black Business and the Macon Middle Georgia Black Pages, the expo aimed to create a space for networking, promoting Black-owned businesses, and engaging in meaningful discussions and workshops.
Local leaders came out to both support and participate in the expo. Alex Habersham, publisher of the Macon Middle Georgia Black Pages, mentioned a key goal of the expo: economic empowerment.
“If we could direct that revenue into areas that uplift our community educationally, socially, spiritually, and economically, then we all benefit,” he said.
This year, the expo introduced a Children’s Zone, offering young attendees the chance to participate in hands-on learning experiences focused on STEM education and entrepreneurship.
