Currently only four of the pools will be open for three days a week due to a lack of lifeguards.
Parks & Recreation Director Doc Dougherty says with more lifeguards all five pools could be open for 6 days a week.
To become a lifeguard, you must be at least 15 years old and ale to pass the American Red Cross Swim test. The department is willing to pay for certification of those who are not certified as long as they work at one of the pools this summer.
