Macon Bibb NAACP Supports Day of Action
Monday marked the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination.
To honor his legacy, the Macon-Bibb County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People reached out to Middle Georgians, asking for their support toward peace, prosperity and justice.
“It’s kind of like what Dr. Martin Luther King wanted us to do is get together and make some type of progress for the people regardless of the people’s color, nationality, race or religion was and so what we’re trying to begin to do at the NAACP is to recapture those feelings of Dr. King,” said Macon Bibb County’s NAACP member Leslie Booker.
