Macon-Bibb Mayor holds 2025’s first Council of Clergy Luncheon

Executive Director of Community Affairs Dr. Henry Ficklin said the meetings help clergy keep their religious communities informed.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  Macon-Bibb officials and local religious leaders sat down at Carlyle Place Thursday for the first Council of Clergy Luncheon of 2025.

Speakers include Mayor Lester Miller and Cass Hatcher, Chief Executive Officer of River Edge Behavioral Health.

The main topic Thursday was catching clergy up on the recent demolition downtown, including the implosion of the Ramada hotel.

The Council of Clergy Luncheons are held every other month on Thursdays at noon.
