Macon-Bibb looking for money to fund Georgia Sports Hall of Fame

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb’s Operation and Finance Committee wants to make a change to the proposed FY 17 budget.

County spokesperson Chris Floore said committee members want to fund the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. There wasn’t a request initially so the county didn’t put money toward it. There has since been a funding request filed.

The county is looking to see where they can pull $100,000 from.

A public hearing is scheduled for June 16 at 5 p.m.

The final budget approval vote will be June 28 and 1 p.m.
