Macon-Bibb County commemorating 9/11 tragedy during ceremony Friday
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A ceremony in Macon-Bibb County commemorating the 9/11 tragedy is set to happen Friday in Downtown.
The Macon-Bibb Law Enforcemenet Foundation is sponsoring the event happening at the Public Safety Memorial Park on Mulberry Street.
Bibb County Sheriff David Davis will join Macon-Bibb Fire Chief Marvin Riggins, and Colonel Henderson Carswell in placing roses on the memorial. It is also a tribute to the people who lost their lives serving the community.
You can also expect to hear Bagpiper Don Bray play “Amazing Grace” as well as watch a flyover conducted by Georgia State Patrol.
The event is set to start at 8:45 AM.
