Macon-Bibb fire fighters participate in Fill the Boot fundraiser
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Fire Department hopes you will open your hearts and donate to a good cause.
Its annual Fill the Boot fundraiser raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. More than 350 firefighters will be out at various businesses collecting donations. Locations include Wal-Mart, Bass Pro Shop, Rose’s, Food Depot, Lowe’s, Harvey’s, Tractor Supply, and more.
They will be out Saturday, May 28 from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
“It’s a honor to be out here, like I said I just enjoy doing it. Lending that helping hand, it comes natural as a fireman to help others,” Sgt. Joseph Teal tells 41NBC.
Fill the Boot will return August 31 through September 3.
