Macon-Bibb DFCS Temporarily Closed for Bomb Threat

Macon-Bibb County Department of Family and Children’s Services building was closed this afternoon after a bomb threat.

Macon Police Sergeant Reginald Washington told 41 NBC’s Dustin Wilson that police were called to the building around 2 o’clock this afternoon when DFCS received a threatening letter.  When police arrived, they evacuated the building.

The scene has been cleared, and no dangerous materials were discovered. The building is expected to reopen at 4:15pm.
