Macon-Bibb County voters rush to vote early on last day of early voting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Friday was the last day for early voting in Georgia.
Early voting locations like Elaine Lucas Senior Center and the Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections have seen a steady stream of early voters. As of Thursday, the Macon-Bibb Board of Elections said more than 41,000 people had cast their ballot during in-person early voting in Bibb County.
Off camera, many of the early voters said they were rushing to vote during their lunch break.
One early voter, Diane Glover, tells 41NBC she votes early in every election to avoid those long election day lines.
She said it gives her peace of mind.
Early voting ended Friday at 5:30.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.
