Macon, Bibb County Remember 9/11 by Honoring Victims and Fallen Heros

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Today, the unsung heroes of Macon and Bibb county gathered to honor the thousands of civilians who were killed on this day 11 years ago, and remember their own fallen soldiers.

A gathering was held at Memorial Park in downtown Macon to remind us of the lives lost, not only on September 11th, but during all of America’s tragic moments throughout history.

Even after 11 years, Macon-Bibb Fire Chief Marvin Riggins can recall the exact details of September 11th, 2001.

“It was a clear morning just like this one,” says Riggins.
