Macon Bibb County looks to the future of downtown economic development
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb County leaders are learning how to keep moving forward with their downtown revitalization efforts.
Smart Growth America held a workshop to help the county put strategies and policies in place so efforts to improve downtown can continue to grow.
“How you make decisions today that can have an impact that lasts well beyond the immediate budget. Maybe 5 years, 10 years… maybe 50 years down the road,” explained Macon-Bibb County Assistant Director for Economic Development, Alex Morrison.
Macon-Bibb officials believe starting at the urban core and then expanding is the best way to improve the county.
