Macon- Bibb County Emergency Crews On Standby For The Possibility Of Snow

Emergency crews across the state are monitoring the possibility of snow. The Macon- Bibb County EMA has crews on standby just in case middle Georgia is hit with a snow storm. EMA Director Don Druitt says, they haven’t received an advisory from the National Weather Service but they are ready just in case they do.

” They are saying it is going to be warm enough here that we may have snow flurries but it should not stick to the ground. So there for we are not doing emergency center activations but I have talked with public works staff. They do have people on standby and they do have sand trucks available if needed”, said EMA Director Donald Druitt.

Druitt says emergency crews will put sand on bridges and overpasses if the snow starts to stick.
