Macon-Bibb Consolidation Finance Comittee Chair, “It’s Time to Ask for Help”

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Consolidation Task Force Finance Committee says it’s time to bring in outside agencies to help with this transition.

The group met this morning, and although Chair Pearlie Tolliver says their heading in the right direction, they’re not moving fast enough.

“We’re moving that’s for sure. We’re probably not moving at the pace that I would personally like to see us move…We are limited as a body. Even the complete task force and certainly our finance comittee we are limited in our expertise on making this process go where it needs to go,” says Tolliver.

They did accomplish what was outlined for their second meeting. The group put a 60 day deadline on themselves to come up with a budget. They also recommend moving the start date of the new government up two weeks.
