Macon-Bibb commissioners approve funds to fix Lake Tobesofkee dam

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb commissioners approved spending $196,032 to fix Fenley Ryther Dam at Lake Tobesofkee during Tuesday night’s meeting.

According to the resolution, the dame is “in need of repairs in order to allow the gate installed on the dam to lower properly, as well as to repair the west gate bottom seal in order to ensure proper water retention.”

The county is working with Prince Service and Mfg. Inc., a local business in Macon, to fix the problems.
