Macon-Bibb Commissioner to host Community Intervention Workshop

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb Commissioner Virgil Watkins will host a Community Intervention Workshop.

The workshop will focus on gang reduction and youth development throughout the city of Macon.

Several panels of speakers will be present to target focus areas such as economics, education, public safety, civic and civil engagement, and faith and community.

Commissioner Watkins says, “We want to help people make the connection with Macon-Bibb County and other community organizations as a way to help them find needed services, become a part of current solutions to issues, and help us identify other ways of overcoming the challenges we face.”

The workshop will be held Saturday, January 31, at the Government Center on Poplar Street at 10:00 a.m.
